Craftsman 37051 19 – Inch Electric Mower

One of the principal reasons consumers choose to buy an electric mower is that the noise is significantly lower than that of a gas mower and this is certainly true of the Craftsman 37051 electric mower. The controls are very user friendly on this model and it comes with 8 different cutting lengths all easily adjustable from a single lever located on the handlebar. Cutting heights are from 1 – ¼ inches at its lowest to 3 – ½ inches at its highest.

The cutting blade makes a good job of slicing its way through the grass and it’s nice and wide at 19 inches. This is about the same width as a small petrol mower. For aid in easy storage the handle will fold down and the deck of the mower is rust proof. You’ll find the build quality excellent and it comes with a 1.8 bushel rear bag plus a mulching deck. If you want the mower to side discharge you’ll need to buy the optional kit.

It’s powered by a 120 volt engine drawing a total of 12 amps so consider this carefully as effectively it means you’ll need to stay within 100 feet of your mains power supply at all times during use. Remember also that you can’t use extension leads in damp conditions or cut wet grass and this goes for not just electric mowers but any outdoor electrical appliance.

The tires are semi-pneumatic with dimensions of 7 x ¾ inches from the front and 8 x ¾ inches at the back. It comes with a 1 year warranty and is perfect for small sized gardens in built up areas especially where it’s important to keep noise levels low.
